The KEEP Foundation’s mission is to educate the people of the Commonwealth about the importance of horses to the state, its economy, its heritage and its people.
In order to achieve our mission, the Foundation is spreading the word to each of the 120 counties in Kentucky by providing educational units, speeches, presentations and by participating in equine events throughout the state. As part of this outreach, the Board of Directors has allocated specific grant funds to help local horse organizations, 4-H equine clubs and educational institutions promote the importance of the horse industry in Kentucky.
Through the KEEP Grassroots Funding Program, non-profit, Kentucky-affiliated horse clubs and organizations (Saddle Clubs, breed organizations, etc.) qualify for grant money for horse shows to purchase items such as class sponsorship and ribbons and trophies. The KEEP Foundation encourages Kentucky affiliate clubs and horse 4-H groups to submit grant requests. Our all-inclusive organization is working hard to make sure everyone knows that “Horses Work for Kentucky.”
